Do men take Diflucan?

by yafo, Dec 02, 2004 12:00AM
Hi,

My wife is 6 months pregnant and  she has vaginal infections. Beside giving her medicine, her gynae also asks me to take one 150mg tablet of Diflucan. When I do a search on Internet, it seems Diflucan is meant for women. Do men take Diflucan?

Appreciate your advice please.

Thank you.

Regards,
Yafo

You guys can be passing the infection back and forth (usually harmless and asymptomatic for you) so yes you can take this medicine. I did a search on 'diflucan + men' and pulled a variety of websites regarding this info. Let me know if you need me to post some up for you.

I was just prescribed it this morning.  It's for fungal/yeast infections (and guys have those in the forms of 'jock itch'.)
