Do you all think this is possible?

Do you all think this is possible?

Alright I'm 25wks and 3days pregnant. I've already gained between 25-28lbs. yuck i know!! But my plan is to only gain 1lb per wk for the rest of the pregnancy. Do you all think it's possible? I feel like I could eat all day everyday almost and I feel like I never ever get full. So I thought ok I'll eat maybe 2 good meals a day and the rest of what I eat will be fruits, veggies, and salads. Maybe that will help with the weight. Do you all think it's possible to only gain another 14lbs or so? And What recommendations do you all have for keeping the weight gain to a minimum?? Thanks everyone.

i did the same thing.  i think i even gained a bit more.  if you are like me, you will start to get full faster over the next few weeks.  you wont be able to eat as much, even though you will still want to. my 29 week check up was the first time that i gained the proper amount of weight.  im hoping that will continue and it will keep me gaining just the 1 lb per week.

I'm 25 weeks 2 days preggo and I've only gained 2 pounds so far!!! Now that's gross!!! I have been so sick, I haven't been able to eat for the first 5 months! And I still get sick every once in awhile still.  So I don't over do myself now and put on 50 pounds the last 3 months, I'm trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies.  I also stay away from donuts and cake and stuff that doesn't keep me full for more then 5 minutes and with lots of fat and calories. I also am not one of the people who say "I'm eating for 2 now, so I can eat whatever I want" because I know that will be a problem for me later on. I have a problem getting weight off once it's on.  So basically I'm just trying to eat healthier and not go over board.  I also keep a banana on my night stand so if I wake up hungry I eat that instead of going into the kitchen and eating something fattening.

I'll be 26 weeks on Wednesday and I haven't gained any weight so far.  I get full really fast when I eat and I can't seem to gain anything.  My doc isn't worried right now, but he wants me to have gained 5 pounds by the 3rd, don't think it's gonna happen.

I think that's what I'm going to do. 2 big meals and fruits and veggies for the rest of the day. Hopefully that and more exercise will help with the weight gain. However it's very hard to exercise when I'm depressed a lot and all I want to do is sleep. Maybe I should also start planning my meals out for a day.

Try drinking alot of fluids too! I know that I just pig out when I'm bored (which is alot) and I've found that drinking water instead of eating helps fill me...and fills my quota for the recommended daily water intake! :)

I have gained 16 pounds at almost 31 weeks. But that was after losing 12 in the first trimester so technically, I've only gained 4 since prepregnancy. My doctor wants me to gain 35 by week 40........NOT seeing that one happen!

Darkest,
I eat tons of fruits and veggies! I think that is why I am having trouble gaining. My lunch usually consists of a bowl of canned veggies and a piece of fruit. Snacks are usually string cheese or graham crackers or more fruit. I eat about 8 meals a day. They are small, but I stay full that way! It really may help you to go with that plan! (2 big meals and fruits/veggies for the rest)

If it helps for future reference, I gained the most weight with my first pregnancy--45lbs., and then my subsequent pregnancies were only 29 and 27 lbs.  My third pregnancy I worked out the entire time doing spin classes and the stairmaster and I had my best post baby body because of that with my third baby, amazing!

I crack up at how we gain so much weight with our first pregnancies to learn "what we don't really need to eat" for the next time around.

Good Luck to everyone, it sucks but if you work hard you can have your body back.
