Do you have to get a D& C procedure after you have a miscarriage

I had a miscarriage on sep 12, 08 and i never got a D&C procedure done will i be at risk for anything?

You shouldn't be. Usually they give a D&C if you dont miscarry on your own or if there is left over tissue in there. Most people miscarry naturally though and never need the D&C.

I have had 5 losses and only once did I have a d&c and that was due to medical necessity.

Did your levels return to 0?

No you do not have to. Many many experts advise against D and C unless absolute must - it can create scar tissue and cause fertility problems later on.
You should call your doc!
