Doctor wants me start Clomid.....

Hi, I had a m/c about 2 weeks ago.  Testing showed no problems and do not know why i m/c.  I have always had a irregular period since i was 16, I am now 35.  She wants me to start taking clomid by end of august if I do not start my period.  Will this make me start my period or help me get pregnant quickly.  I am doing some reading on clomid online as well.  We would like to have another child.  I have two children already and have had two m/c although not back to back.  We are very excited tohave another child and also what are the chances that takeing clomid will produce twins?  How many people taking clomid actually have mulitiples?  Just wanted some info from others who have taken it.  She also said that she may put me on femara?  Any thoughts??  Thank you so much!
