Does your chance of MC go down any once u see a strong heartbeat?

Hi, as some of u may know I have had 2 previous MC. With this pregnancy ( 8wks),we saw a heartbeat of 141 at my 7wk US. I had heard that once u detect a strong fetal heartbeat, chances of MC drop. Does anyone have experience with this?? I also want to thank everyone for all of your support!!!!

Once there is a strong heartbeat chance of mc does drop.....and in a few more weeks your chance will drop significantly, but it is rare for the body to reject a healthy viable pregnancy.....

I saw a heartbeat at 6 wks 3 days with my m/c, but I think that once you hit 8 weeks and see a heartbeat, you have less than a 5% chance of miscarriage. Most people don't have an u/s till 8-12 weeks, so in my case, if I had waited till 8 weeks, the baby would've been dead by then and no h/b. But since I went at 6 wks 3 days and they said it stopped growing that week, I saw it too soon, see what I mean?

I heard my babies HB at 9 weeks on an U/S, it was at 164-174bpm and they said that it was strong. It starts to drop a bit as the weeks go on, i think at my last appointment it was at 139-149 but can't remember it's written in my baby book. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I had a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks on u/s but a low on of 88 bpm, then miscarried a day later.  It is a good sign that the heartbeat is healthy.  Makes the risk of losing it much lower.  jenni

Honey not necessarily.  I was 7 weeks with my the last baby and we saw a very Strong heartbeat.  Through a sonogram.  Only to loose the baby 4 weeks later.

I was at 15 weeks and thinking everything was good on Friday but had some very minor cramping and spotting.  The dr couldn't find the heartbeat so I had an ultrasound asap.  It confirmed no heartbeat and the baby stopped growing between 8-9 weeks.  I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and the heartbeat was fine.  Today is Sunday and the cramping & spotting have stopped, any idea how long it will be for my body to naturally reject the fetus.  It's hard enough that it has happened, but knowing I'm still carrying it, it's awful.
