Don't know what to believe.....

Hi Everyone,
I really need some advice.  I have experience 3 miscarriages (all very different) and need some advice on how to proceed.  I am seeing an OBGYN who suggested that I have some genetic testing (to test for chromosomal translocation) and see if there is anything in my family tree that may cause me to miscarry.
So I waited patiently and finally went to the genetic counselor last week.  She advised me that my OB should be doing more.  She suggested that I get a uterine exam and other tests.  I am just concerned.  I have put off getting pregnant until I find the results of the genetic tests and I am wondering if there are other tests that I should be getting while not actively trying.  I just don’t want to go through that again.  I know that there are no guarantees however, would love to take every precaution.  So essentially, my question is, for those of you who have had multiple miscarriages, what types of tests did your doctor’s do and what type of doctor were they?

I am  just hjaving my second miscarriage, and havent had any tests yet ( I have to take the tissue for genetic testing once I miscarry). As far as I know, there are blood tests concerning blood cloting disorder, antibodies, progestrone and such. There is also HSG screening, which basically is like Ultrasound(but more invasive) to see inside your uterin cavity to make sure everything is ok.
I wish everything comes back normal, and that you have a healthy pregnancy soon.

I had clotting labs done and an HSG.  Theychecked me for all sorts of  other t hings.  I think thyroid and immune issues as well.  It was determined that I have a blood clotting disorder. I was treated with heparin and BA and progesterone this last pregnancy but it still failed.  It was the furthest we had ever gotten and we finally had a baby in there with a heartbeat but I had a missed miscarriage a week later.  Didn't know the baby had died until 2 weeks later at my 11 week scan.  I have had 2 blighted ovums and one missed miscarriage.  Next step after we get the results back from the genetic testing of the baby is to see if there was somethng we missed or if my husband and I need to do genetic testing.  This is so exhausting but  have to believe that one day my dream of havinga baby will come true.  I am so sorry for your losses.  How were they different?
