Dropping HCG, increasing ectopic in left tube is avascular

To keep you updated with my ongoings, my beta hcg's went from 476 (11/07) to 133 (11/14), which is good. I have had two doses of Methotrexate injection (Oct25th/Nov1st) to stop developing fetus as it is in my left tube. Results from obs ultrasound, uterus is empty, no sac or fluid, but the mass has yet expanded in my left tube. My doctor has me all confused, as from one week to the next, what he is planning to do changes. It is apparent that the Metho killed it, and it is dissolving into fluid, as there is no indication of blood flow within the mass, nor is there a heartbeat. Some reason, the sizes and measures do not match up with how far along I would be. The mass measured 2.8cm (about 1") on October 25th, which according to his gestational chart, I would have been 8 weeks. I had a normal cycle on Aug 5th, nothing in Sept until the 13th where I bled heavily just for one day, then nothing. I took 3 preg tests (including doctor issued one) first two weeks sept, all negative. As of November 16th u/s it is 7.4x6.9x4.5cm (roughly 3"x2.5"x1.75"). I passed a sac like thing on Nov 12th, the size of a toonie (2") clear in color, tissue like texture, little nodule on end that had what looked like blood in it. That would be from my uterus. Can anyone relate to this? What was your results/outcome? Dr. is baffled as well as myself and family gyno. They do not want to take the tube as it is the only one I have. At what level do you stop trying to save one thing if it may pose imminent danger on another? Thank you

I would get a second opinion or see another specialist ASAP.. You really don't want a toxic infection. YOUR dR. SOUNDS CONFUSED.

I am not by any means a doctor or even in the medical field, but I have read on line somewhere that on RARE occasions when you develope a tubal that your body tricks its self into developing a sac in the uterus. It never contains fetal tissue and is not good for anything. It is just there. I also know that there are ways for them to remove tubal pregnancies and still save the tube. Get a second opinion and don't leave untill it is all clear. Good luck.

Good Monday morning to you all. Thank you for your advice and it will be definitley considered to get a second opinion! I go into Regina (approximate 2hr drive from where I live) Tuesday for yet another ultrasound and followup appointment with my specialist. Crazy thing is that he is taking late appointments that night, so I see him at 6:50 PM, which means that I won't get out of there until around 8 or so. I will be staying in Regina that night, because I am a little gun shy driving at night (fiance's boss threatened his job regarding this) as I wrote off my car in Sept by hitting a deer. Then got bronchitis, then this "adventure". I swear I have Irish roots, but you wouldn't have guessed with this luck I am having.
We have very limited "specialists" (or as I am beginning to refer him to as a "guessalist") so my choices are limited.
A few people I work with are very supportive, but others are thinking that this is off the wall and impossible, and judging me now. So, when I came back from regina on Friday, they sent me home with my ultrasound results from November 16th, and proudly shoved it under their noses so they can back off, along with a signed med certificate from my family doctor stated that I am off work for an unknown period of time due to intensive medical study in Regina.
I am frustrated. I really hope that something like this doesn't happen to anyone else, but if it does, I should be able to help them after I find out what the heck is going on.
Thank you everybody for everything, and *hugs* to all.
