EVER HERE OF CLOMID HELPING WITH A HIGH FSH

HI THERE, I POSTED EARLIER, AND THERE WAS ONE OTHER THING I WANTED TO ASK AND I FORGOT.  HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HEARD OF CLOMID TO HELP WITH A HIGH FSH.  I WAS TOLD BY ONE DR. THAT DON'T EVEN TRY TO GET PREG. JUST CASH IT IN CAUSE MY FSH WAS TO HIGH TO CONCEIVE THAT MY EGGS WERE DONE.  AND DON'T EVEN TRY A INFERTILITY CLINIC I WOULD JUST BE WASTING MY MONEY.  THEN I TOOK IT TO MY REG OB AND HE SAID GET ON CLOMID AND WE WILL GET YOUR EGGS MOVING, YEA THEY MAY BE LESS IN NUMBER BUT THERE SHOULD BE SOME THERE STILL, I DO OVULATE SO I GUESS I NEED A EGG, IF CLOMID DOESN'T WORK, WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP, DO I GET A DONOR EGG AND CAN YOU GET IT FROM SAY A NIECE OR A SISTER OR A SISTER IN LAW OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.  I AM PRETTY DUMB WHEN IT COMES TO ALL THIS STUFF AND THE INTERNET JUST SCARES ME.

I have an elevated fsh level and was on clomid in July. I produced 4 mature follicles (eggs) for an IUI. I was monitored closely while I was on the clomid, though. I had 3 scans so my doctor could check the progress of my follicles. The IUI didn't work that month so I will move on to injectables for Sept. I will do 3-4 IUIs before moving to IVF.

Don't let a doctor discourage you if your fsh level is high. I would go to an infertility doctor to help you as soon as you can. My doctor said that age is just as important as fsh level, so if you're younger there is still hope. The key is being aggressive (which is why your obgyn gave you clomid).

Also. I am seeing an acupuncturist. I am taking several herbs (false unicorn root, wheat grass, and chasteberry) to also help combat the elevated fsh.

Good luck. There have been cases of women falling pregnant with fsh levels that are quite high. While higher fsh isn't optimum, it isn't the end of ttc.

Hi Girls

I have a very high fsh (highest 40) and my consultant has put me on a clomid + menopur IVF protocol - she is the best in the UK so she must know what she is doing.

I've been on clomid for 6 months,and tested a really high Fsh last month.I was thinking that the clomid may have affected it,but not sure.My fsh was normal 16 months ago.
