Ear problems while preggo

Ear problems while preggo

I have fluid in my right ear and I'm not sure what I can do about it and I am 18w5d preggo.  I can feel the fluid moving in my ear.  I can't hear to well either.  Is there anything that I can do about it or do I have to wait it out.

I would go to the doctor.  If needed, they could flush it out and give you ear dorps to dry it out. You do not want it to go to swimmer's ear/infection.  Mine did at about 10 weeks.  There were not many antiboitics that were approved by my Dr. and OB (my physician actually called him beacuse I was in so much payn and something had to be done.)  The one that they put me on was to be taken 4 times a day, no eating 1 hour before and 2 hours after.  Just imagine how I was feeling when I NEEDED to eat and knew I would not.  They also put me on Ciprodex, an antibiotic to be put into me ear.  I ran into a drug rep a couple weeks later and they stated Cipro should not be taken while pregnant.  After all of the excessive talking, just go to the doctor.

I am also having ear issues.  Everytime I open my mouth wide or yawn I can hear it crackle in there.  It's in my left ear.  Right now it only annoys me every once in a while so I'm going to ignore it for a little while longer.

You could try taking a decongestant and see if that helps open things up.  If that doesn't work, then maybe the doc can give you some ear drops or something.  I don't have any ideas other than that, sorry!
