Ectopic Pregnancy or Blighted Ovum

I went in today for a vaginal ultrasound and she told me I was around 5 weeks, she could see a sac but told me it could be a ectopic.  I dont want to wait a week if it is ectopic, wouldnt she be able to determine that at the ultrasound on the position of the sac?

If a gestational sac was seen in the uterus, then it's not an ectopic. However, sometimes they see what's called a "pseudo sac," that can be mistaken for a gestational sac, and are sometimes seen with EP's. I would ask for clarification about what was seen on the u/s. 5 weeks is really early to see anything on an u/s, so don't be too hasty with a decision to terminate. Has your doctor been checking your hcg and progesterone levels?

I very much agree with the above poster.... plz don't make any hasty decisions. At 5wks all that was seem with me was a yolk sac and they told me i could miscarry. I now have a 6 month old baby girl.
