Either 10w 2d or 6w 4d, High HCG levels, small sack w/no fetal pole

Hi I'm a mother of an almost two yr. old and have had two miscarriages, one before my son and one after.  Right now I am pregnant but Dr. is unsure of due date and is mentioning blighted ovum. Here's what's going on and it makes no sense to either one of us.  Mens. cycle 2/27 and then again on 3/25, but this one was very short and very light, so Dr. is taking this as bleeding during pregnancy. 4/24 (5 days late)- bloodtest showed positive and HCG of 20,000, which by family Dr.'s chart put me in the 6-16 wk. range. So, I'm thinking O.K., we're going with the 2/27 as LMP. But Dr. was unsure of due date so sent me for ultrasound on 4/27, could see sack but no fetal pole and sack measured 5 weeks. 5/3 another HCG level check = 51,427 - incredibly high right?! So another ultrasound on 5/7, same thing, there's a sack, but no fetal pole yet. Haven't talked to Dr. yet since that u/s, but the morning of 5/3 bloodtest (before the test) when I had the 51,427 number the Dr. mentioned a blighted ovum and said that if my numbers were still around 20,000 or started dropping down, then we knew it was a blighted ovum.  The ultrasound tech was very nice and said that with her pregnancy she couldn't see anything in the sack until 7 or 8 weeks and that in this early of pregnancy the number is what they look at since u/s don't show much yet.  I know this is long and I really appreciate if you've actually read the whole thing, I'm getting more bloodwork done tomorrow, I don't know what number to look for now, I've looked at the charts, but I'm confused any advice or similar exp. I would definately appreciate hearing!
Thanks!

Usually with an Hcg that high you would be able to see more. I belive that is why they are thinking possible blighted ovum. I am sorry you are going through this.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you're going through this too, you don't know whether to be up or down, do you? Blighted Ovum per my Dr. means that you have all the pregnancy symptoms - nausia, breast tenderness, bigger belly, etc., and you have a sack in your uterus but there's no baby developing in there. Your HCG levels will be good for a few weeks and then either only go up a little (not double) or they'll start to go down. I'm going to check to see if your story's on here somewhere, but if not is your due date messed up too, how far along do you think you are?

Hi, I'm not entirely sure what Blighted ovum means so if you could get back to me with that then that would be good because what your saying here sounds like what is exactly happening to me.

Got my bloodwork done today and my HCG came back at 102,122. I probably won't hear from my Dr. until my appt. Thurs. 5/17. To me it looks like everything's O.K., I don't think with a blighted ovum the numbers go up that high, do they? I feel better after seeing that number but I'm still confused, hopefully will know something Thurs. I appreciate the comments I've gotten and I'm looking forward to more and I'll keep you girls posted.
