How do you get a new born to take a paci?

I would think it's a good thing that your newborn doesn't want the pacifier..Honestly, I may be wrong but if he/she isn't taking it now, he/she probably won't take it...

HI, I think your baby is telling you it doesn't want it. It can interfere with breast feeding anyway. Good luck

Mine never went for the paci.  I would not give a newborn one anyway.  Their stomachs are so little, they are hungry a lot of the time.  If they are willing to suck instead of sleep, it is because they are hungry and need to eat.

my 1st daughter took one while still in the hospital and it was a pain to get her off of it we started trying at 1 it took till she was around 2 my 2nd daughter never wanted one she was a thumb sucker in the womb still is she's 13 months already and walks around most of the day  with her teddy and thumb stuck in her mouth and it's still better then the paci so i would agree with the other posts if she doesn't want it its better not to give it to her she'll find a way to self sooth as she gets a little older till then you just need to find things that do calm her like music or something like that
