Energy bars while breastfeeding

Happy Friday everyone. Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on eating energy bars while breastfeeding. I was told to avoid chocholate but don't Pria energy bars have chocolate in them?? Thanks

Hi. I by no means an expert but, from what I heard, energy bars have ALOT of sugar. I know what you eat goes into your breast milk so I guess if it's ok for the baby to have a elevated sugar, than I guess it will be ok. But again, I dont know much about breast feeding or baby's sugar intake.

Every Baby reacts differently. Mine never had a bad reaction when I had chocolate. It was when I would italian food--he was fine on everything else. So just don't eat to many energy bars--I think they will give you energy but they are very fattening.

you dont have to avoid chocolate all together a little bit is more then fine geess where does all this info come from do a little more research lol enjoy a little.
and as for the energy bars it depends on the brand as most contain the natural energy stimulant guarana which should be absolutly avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding it passes through the milk best to avoid then all together hey.

Thanks for your comments. I had one the other day and my DD was screaming her little head off so NO CHOCOLATE FOR ME!! No fair :(
