Engaged!

I consider a lot of you friends, so I thought I would let you know that Mike and I are getting married! We have decided on June of 09, so about 10 months away. I am so excited! Our colors are Orange and Pink! Anyways, just throught I would let you guys know!

Yeah, I am just dreading the dress search and that is sad because the dress should be the best part....however, its not so much fun when you are not a size 5 lol

Oh the dress will look beautiful.  Just a tip, if you get a corset (sp?) dress that laces up the back it will make your waist look trim and also give you breathing room throughout the night!!

i agree with babyscience- i got a beautiful corset dress and i didn't have to stress about gaining/losing a couple pounds in the weeks before the wedding.

don't worry about the dress- have you ever seen a bride who wasn't gorgeous?

Cheyenne, that is how long our engagement will be. Ben proposed in April and our wedding is this coming February, a little over 5 months away. Dress shopping was so much fun! I did get a corset dress that laces up in the back and it is so beautiful! I cannot wait to wear it on the big day! Take a couple of friends along, it's a really fun girl outing. Make sure to bring cameras! My tip is to wait to buy your dress, even if you feel it's "the one" because I did that, only to wish I had tried on other dresses and waited. They did allow me to return that dress and try on other dresses until I found the right one though, and I am very happy with it!

The planning is so much fun. Colors, flowers, cakes, reception, honeymoon...it's all a blast. We are kind of in a lull now because we have most everything planned. In a few months it will pick up again and my head will be spinning!

Anyhow, congrats!! I look forward to hearing your stories and seeing pictures (: I hope you have lots of money saved. It's expensive!

lol......well, I did the invitations for my sister's wedding (print your own) and so I just found 100 invitations for 10 bucks! They were on sale for 5 dollars a box!!! They are in my colors and everything, so that is handled. I also got silk flowers on sale for 2 bucks for a bouquet, and so I cut the huge stems off them, rearrainged the flowers and wrapped the steps with floral tape...so now, all the girls bouquets are done too! We are thinking of centerpiece ideas right now....because the more I can get handled right now the better lol

Congrats to you to Jen!!!! My anniversary is Oct 8.14 yrs can you believe it.I told dh I wanted to renue our vows at 15 yrs.I cant wait.I missed all the fun planning.Chosing my dress.So I wanna also go all out.Even if I am also not a size 5..lol.

Mike has a daughter so I think we are going to have his daughter and Ashtyn be a mini bride and groom! They are a year apart so it should be pretty cute.
