I have tryed to give him water at night, which works but he gets up more times a night.(we are still co-sleeping) I am so sick of feeding him at night! LOL If I try to hold him off, he will just start crying and having a fit!! Like he is straving! Please any advice or ideas???

I had the exact same problem with my 11m old DD (who now is one). I finally had to do sleep training and weaning at the same time (are you nursing still?)  The one advantage I had over your situation was that she has been in her own room, which has helped. However, she was getting up every couple of hours crying and wanting to nurse. So, I weaned her and every time she wanted to nurse in the night, I went in and rocked her (for only a minute or so) and gave her her soother back and said "night night time" and put her back in her crib. It did take two very long nights of her waking up continuously before she got it. She still wakes up once a night still or sometimes more screaming (so the problem is not totally solved), but she usually settles herself back to sleep and I don't have to go in or I only have to go in once to settle her down. The odd night she sleeps almost the whole way through.
Some kids are just born sleepers and are so much easier to train and other kids love to get up at night and be cuddled and fed (thus the difference in your kids). The second type are harder to sleep train but it can work. You may want to consider not co-sleeping anymore (a friend of mine had to finally set up her baby in another room because the co-sleeping and not feeding was too difficult to combine).
Anyway, best of luck. I have TOTALLY been there and I decided I had had it around 11months too when I knew for a fact she was getting enough food and she was training her body to wake up for the closeness and cuddles rather than the nursing. It was tiring me out!

i think you are just gonna have to let him cry it out.. i know its harsh and i know ill get flack but it worked for Aubree. I give her a 10 ounce bottle of milk before bed.. then i let a sippy of water in her crib with her so that if she gets up and needs something she has sit.. she does get up sometimes and I go make sure she isn't wet then i kiss her and tell her its bedtime.. and she normally screams for about 10 minutes then she goes right back to sleep.  try giving him 'big boy' food during the day.. things like banana, mashed potatoes, kind of like table food.. aubree loves mac and cheese.. and it really fills her up so maybe try that at around 5 or whenever your dinner time is..  i get the gerber mac and cheese but any kind will do as long as its not high in sodium.

Is he still on formula or have you started to switch him to milk? i transferred aubree over at around 11 months.. and she has been sleeping better ever since.  i think if you start giving him more food during the day he will be fine.
