Excessive bleeding still 8 weeks after birth
8 weeks after giving birth my daughter is still bleeding,(quite alot) her Dr. says she has a buildup of blood in her usterus, while this is not comon it is no cause for concern. I'm worried about this. it seem strange to me. Money is a concern for repeated Dr. Visits. should we get a 2nd opinion?Someone please advise.

Definitely you should get a second opinion. Mu post partum bleeding was about 10-14 days with both my children.  Maybe she needs an ultrasound.  Something is off.

She definately should get a second opinion. She should not still be bleeding heavily. Most women, if anything are just spotting by 8 weeks post.

I too think you should get a second opinion just to ease your mind.  My best friend bled for 9 weeks...full bleeding and then spotting for 2 more weeks and was fine but you just never know.

I only bled for 2 days after giving birth, no tearing or cutting...no stitches...just natural birth with little bleeding afterward...I was so lucky

I am also still bleeding after 9 weeks of birth. It's not very heavy but kinda strange. Mucussy and different color REDS. Not quite sure if I should call the Dr. or just wait for it to go away on its own. My pap came back good when I went for my 6 week check up after birth. Doesn't that mean i'm in the clear?
