Experiencing a miscarriage and some back pain...when to be worried

I posted earlier this week about being concerned about a pending m/c, and sure enough, I'm having one.  I was early on, about 4 wks (thought not exactly sure, I was never able to get into my OB before this.  I had just figured out I was pregnant the day before Christmas Eve), and now I've been bleeding medium/heavy for about 2-3 days with lots of craps (I can handle them so far).  Yesterday I started to experience some back pain.  I know, usually, lower back pain is normal and shoulder pain is to be concerned about with a potential ectopic, but my pain is really in neither location I guess you could say.  It's located more in the upper left, near the shoulder blade, almost feels like it's on the back behind the heart.  It's not a constant pain, nor does it really feel much like just a pulled muscle or something because there is no pain when my husband or I put pressure on the area.  I notice the pain moreso when I sit up from laying down or bend over.  Has anyone ever experienced this before?

You could always call an OB nurse or doctor and tell them what you're experiencing and they will tell you if you need to be seen or not. I called with bleeding and back pain and they told me to go to the ER right away. I was having a MC I knew that, but they checked me over and took my blood to take my levels and such. You don't want to mess with an eptopic.

I know that shoulder pain with bleeding & cramping CAN be ectopic.I caught mine on time. And was treated with methotrexate. If I were you I'd go to the dr.Even if this is NOT ectopic & just a m/c you should still get seen.Ectopics are very serious even life threatening.I felt like a ticking time bomb.Plez go get cheked out.Nanis
