FEEL SO FAT ALREADY!

FEEL SO FAT ALREADY!

hi girls!
so my question today is when did you guys have to start wearing maternity clothes? i am only 8 weeks but i can't hardly fit into anything. in case you guys forgot here is a brief history, i had 2 miscarriages since last dec. i got pregnant this time before i had another regular cycle after my last one. i did get to hear the heartbeat last week via u/s it was 155. i am currently on progesterone. does that cause bloating and extra weight gain? thanks in advance for your help and you time.

thanks, tiffany

Well, I was probably about 15 weeks or so, but some where them much earlier or later than that.  Have you gained any weight already?  Alot of the reason I started wearing them was because I could not stand having my pants buttoned around my waste.  I didnt like to feel like I was squishing the baby (which does not happen!).  Now, I gained 50 pounds, and alot of that was early on and my doctor told me I needed to stop gaining weight (thanks doc)like I was doing it on purpose.

I did not wear actual maternity clothes full-time until about 20 weeks.  But I did however have to modify the waist of my regular pants by about 10-12 weeks and wear size S or M maternity tops.  I adjusted the pants by taking a standard hair band (the ones that look like a rubber band but are made for hair) and looping it through the button hole of my jeans, then looping the other end around the button itself.  It gives a lot of relief and stretchiness to the waistband when maternity pants are still too big.

i have done the hair tie around the button thing and it does work but my shirts are another story my boobs have grown so much that most of my shirts are tight around that area and my stomach. does it sound like i am just jumping the gun on this one?

I went to the thrift shop at about 13 weeks and baught "in between clothes" because I was nervous about jumping the gun.  Even now I feel like I am playing dressup in maternity clothes.  Mostly I just wear the old dresses I used to wear or 1 of the two overall bibs I baught at thrift shop - for 1.50  each  I got two bib pants and one shorts.  I am wearing thehshorts a lot.  I am 20 weeks - 3rd pregnancy (1 was miscarriage)  I have gained way too much this pg - but unbelievably doc did not yell at me at mondays appointment.  (I gained 10 pounds this month)

If your clothes aren't comfortable, I say go ahead and buy some maternity clothes.  It doesn't sound like you are jumping the gun.  You have a really good chance of carrying the baby to term now that you have heard the heartbeat.   I would go ahead and buy some new clothes.

Congratulations!

My cousin just found out she is preggo with #2 and was wearing a maternity dress about a week and a half ago (she was 6 weeks at the time).  She never lost the weight after having the first and has gained a little more, so I guess if the clothes are more comfortable who cares.  Now, I only have 2 pair of pants that fit me and I can wear to work.  I refuse to buy more, because I am still losing weight (2 more pounds lost, 8 more to go to be a pre preggo weight)

16 pounds seems like a lot for 8 weeks.  Have you asked your doctor about the weight gain?  You could be at risk for gestational diabetes.

Shout it as loud as you can, Congrats by the way. Since the shots are causing extra fluid and weight gain it is obviously going to get worse, so go ahead and get some maternity cloths and be proud that beanie belly!!!

Your very early in pregnancy to gain 16 pounds already
Watch for swelling, Hopefully close watch by your doctor for gestational diabetes, any other symptoms make sure to see a doctor.

As for clothes I never bought any maternity, Just a larger size or comfortable casual wear, t shirts, stretchy pants

As for being FAT hey at least you can blame it on pregnancy afterwards your out of luck!!

I don't feel that "jumping the gun" applies to this issue.  If your regular clothes don't fit you and are uncomfortable then definitely buy something that does.

If you don't want to spend the money on maternity tops just yet or feel that you may jinx yourself b/c you're only 8 weeks along, then just buy some oversized shirts or wear your husbands shirts.

If that is not an option (i.e. you work in an office and need nice clothes) then by all means buy yourself some maternity clothes.  It doesn't take a genius to figure out that mat. clothes can be expensive so no one would think less of you if you only had about 5 different shirts at this point.

Hell - I only had two pairs of dress pants when I was pg!  I'm 5'11" so it was almost impossible to find maternity pants that came in my length (36" inseam!).  So that's all I wore to work, either my black pants or my khaki pants.  I only had 2 pairs of jeans also.

OOPS, i misspelled "wear" in the post above.  I dont want you guys to think i cant spell.......

Polly, I found out i was pregnant on Aug 12, went to my first ob/gyn visit at the beginning of Sept and had gained about 4 pounds.  In Oct I had gained 3 pounds.  However, from Oct to Nov I gained 11 pounds, from Nov to Dec I gained 11 pounds, from Dec to Jan I gained 8 pounds, from Jan to Feb I gained 6 pounds, from Feb to March I gained 4 pounds and then another 3 by the end of March.  For a total of 50.  Most of which was fluid.  I was HUGE!

Hello,
My name is Holly. I am 20 years old. I am planning on going off the pill (i have been on it for 3 years now) in November. I hope to get pregnant right away so I can give the news to my in-laws and my parents as an xmas gift. Do people usually have problems conceiving the first few months they go off the pill? How does it work? I also want to lose weight before I have a baby. As it is I am not comfortable in my skin. If anyone has suggestions or would like to chat, please email me at butterfly_baybee2005***@**** I will respond to everyone!
Also, will you only conceive on certain days of the month? I can use as much information as I can
