FIRST TRIMESTER BLEEDING

HELLO, I WENT TO OB/GYN ON WEDNESDAY BECAUSE OF MILD TO MODERATE BLEEDING.I'M SIX WEEKS PREG. THEY DID LAB WORK AND THEN ORDERED PROMETRIUM BECAUSE PROGESTERONE WAS LOW AT 9.5, HCG WAS 4000. AFTER TAKING PROMETRIUM FOR TWO DAYS THEY TOOK LABS AGAIN. THEY CALLED ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON STATING TO CONTINUE THE PROMETRIUM (STILL SOME BLEEDING), THAT MY LEVELS WERE RISING AND THAT THEY WANTED TO SEE ME ON THURSDAY FOR ULTRASOUND.TODAY IS SUNDAY NO BLEEDING BUT I STILL DON'T FEEL PREGNANT. THIS IS MY SEVENTH PREGNANCY. FOUR BIRTHS AND TWO MC. IN BOTH MC I HAD LOTS OF BLEEDING AND MAJOR CRAMPING, NOT THIS TIME. MY QUESTION IS WHAT COULD BE WRONG? WHY THE BLEEDING? I'VE READ ABOUT MOLAR AND TUBAL PREGNANCY. THE ONLY SYMPTOM I HAVE OF THESE IS THE BLEEDING. I KNOW I SHOULD JUST CALM DOWN AND WAIT UNTIL THURSDAY BUT I HATE TO GET MY HOPES UP FOR SOMETHING THAT MAY NOT BE OK.

I wish you good luck. I know lots of women have bleeding and go on to have normal pregnancies. the fact that you're not having cramps is a very good sign. I'm glad you went to the drs right away. I had light brown bleeding  at 8 weeks, which turned into light red blood with small clots. spotting lasted for 2.5 weeks, my cramps were very mild. found out i Miscarried at 11 weeks.  i you don't have any clots or NO cramping, please don't worry, you may be having a very normal pregnancy, keep us updated.

You could be having a normal healthy pregnancy. Especially if your levels are rising. Usually in a molar pregnancy the levels are abnormally high, and in a tubal they don't rise like they're supposed to or they don't rise at all. So the fact that yours are going up and they're not to concerned about it sounds good. You have to keep in mind it's a 50/50 chance right now. But bleeding in pregnancy isn't normal but it's common. Oh, the waiting.  It sounds good, it really does.  I had some bleeding in my first pregnancy (I didn't know I was pregnant, so I wasn't worried), and cramps in that pregnancy, and that was way back when I thought I was invincible.  I never found out what casued the bleeding, because I didn't realise it was anything to worry about.  I agree with the comment that bleeding in pregnancy is never normal, but it is common.  Hang in there, wish you all the best.

I bled a lot from 5 weeks till 11 weeks (I was on progesterone 3X per day)  finally at 11 weeks they gave me projesterone injections and I stopped bleeding

The more I stressed teh more I bled - so try to relax!

OK IM 5 & WEEKS PREGO  WHEN I HIT FEB 14 I STARTED BLEEDING NOT TO BE GROSS I LOST 2 LONG HARD DRY RUBBERY CLOTS. I WENT TO MY OBGYN N SHE SONGRAMED ME AND SAID THE UTERIOS OR WHAT EVER WAS NOT OPEN IT STILL HAD A LINE AROUND IT. SHE SEND ME TO 2 BLOOD TESTS AND I WAS SO UPSET TODAY I GOT THE MY HCG WAS 17 SO THIS MEANS IT CAN GO BOTH WAYS BUT VERY LOW. GOTTA GO FOR BLOOD TOMMOROW TO SEE IF IT INCREASED OR DECREASED HAS ANYONE GONE THRU THAT

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sounds like you probably did miscarry. 17 is very very very low, that's like "just" pregnant at 5 weeks my hcg were in the 7000's. I hate to be the bearer or bad news, but I wouldn't want to give you fals hopes and then you get a call from the Dr. saying it dropped lower. There is always a reason why you miscarry and sooo many women have gone through it, you're not alone. I have been through it 2 times, andit's devastating. But I had 2 beautiful babies after that and one on the way. Alot of women only miscarry once, and go on to carry healthy pregnancies. Good luck to you and God Bless!!

HELLO EVERYONE THANKS FOR ALL THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I WENT TO OBGYN TODAY FOR U/S. THE BABY IS THERE BUT WITH A VERY LOW HEART RATE. MY DR SAID IT DIDN'T LOOK GOOD SO HE SCHEDULED BLOOD WORK. HE ALSO SAID THAT WHEN THE HEART BEAT IS THIS LOW IT MOST ALWAYS ENDS IN MC. HE ORDERED BLOOD WORK AND WANTS TO SEE ME AGAIN IN ANOTHER WEEK. EARLIER IF I HAVE PROBLEMS. I'LL LET YOU KNOW.

Hi everyone!  I found out on Friday that I am at least 4 weeks pregnant. the dr. said somethimg about 53% after my blood test.  he said that i am in a very early pregnancy or threatening a miscarriage.  I started spotting on wednesday with mild cramping.  nothing on thursday ( didn't go 2 work).  today i bled a little.  the other day it was kind of brown.  now it is kind of reddish and more than the other day.  My lower back is hurting.  what's going on?  i am very nervous.

HELLO, I'M SORRY TO HEAR YOUR HAVING TROUBLE. I THINK YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO YOUR DR. AND YOUR BODY.  IT'S NEVER NORMAL TO BLEED DURING PREGNANCY, BUT IS COMMON. I HAVE HAD FOUR CHILDREN AND WITH EVERYONE THERE WAS SOME SORT OF BLEEDING (USUALLY AFTER SEX).
NEVER MUCH JUST A LITTLE ON THE TISSUE PAPER. WITH THAT BEING SAID I HAVE HAD TWO GOING ON THREE MC. I HAVE HAD SIMULAR EXP. WITH ALL. CRAMPING, LOWER BACK ACHE AND MORE BLOOD THAN MAKES ME COMFORTABLE. I TRY TO LOOK AT IT THIS WAY GODS NOT SAYING "STACY, YOU CAN'T HAVE  THIS BABY." BUT " STACY, IT'S NOT QUITE TIME FOR THIS ONE," I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE WITH THIS. YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF HOPE. I HAVE SEARCHED EVERY WEB SIGHT I COULD FIND LOOKING FOR THE ANSWERS TO MY PROBLEMS AND I END UP GETTING WORKED UP NEEDLESSLY. IT REALLY IS A WAIT AND SEE THING. I GO BACK ON WEDNESDAY TO SEE IF THERE IS STILL A HEART BEAT. I KNOW IN MY HEART THERE WON'T BE BUT I STILL HOPE THERE WILL BE. ALL I'M SAYING IS WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS SORT OF THING AND WE CAN ONLY DO THE BEST WE CAN DO. YOU SEEM TO BE TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELF (NOT GOING TO WORK,RESTING, SEEKING ANSWERS)IF YOU HAVE READ SOME OF THE OTHER POST YOU WILL FIND THAT THERE ARE WOMEN WHO WOULD GIVE THERE RIGHT ARM TO BE PREGNANT OUT THERE. IF JUST BY WANTING IT BADLY, COULD MAKE IT HAPPEN, THEY ALL WOULD BE PREGNANT WITH HEALTHY BABIES. I JUST DON'T WANT YOU TO DO WHAT I'VE DONE AND BEAT YOURSELF UP WITH "WHAT IF I HAD DONE THIS OR WHAT IF I HADN'T DONE THIS." YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS AND LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS GO. I am also in this sort of situation. I found out I was pregnant on Feb. 16th. Date of last period was Jan. 19th. I didn't really have any pregnancy symptoms except for frequent urination at night and my breasts were a bit tender and bigger. I have had a miscarriage before (my second pregnancy, but I had a D&C at 9 weeks. Anyway, I started bleeding on March 5 and it has not stopped. Although today I am not bleeding as heavily. The blood is bright red and I've passed some clots one day. I didn't notice very much cramping mainly lower back pain and achiness. I went to the midwife March 6th b/c of the bleeding and they did a vag. sonogram. They saw the ges. sac but nothing else. I thought I was 6 1/2 wks. pregnant, but the midwife said maybe I wasn't as far along as I thought I was. They took my blood and I am due for another sonogram this coming Monday and that will confirm if I had a miscarriage or not. Has anyone else experienced this and went on to have a normal pregnancy? I have two beautiful children and I was sick the first trimester with both of them, but like I said almost no pregnancy symptoms with this one. My midwife said some women bleed the first 12-14 weeks of pregnancy and go on to have a normal pregnancy. I know God knows what is best and I am just waiting to see what happens.

I am in the same boat. I was on birth control and got pregnant. I started bleeding this past saturday(9/15/07) after having sex. it was bright red blood. I went to the Emergancy Room and they said that in the ultrasound everything looked good. this was a bedside ultrasound. It stopped and then sunday when i woke up i was bleeding again. With two small pieces of tissue. i went back to the er and they did a real ultrasound(vaginal) they could not find a heartbeat... but i found out i was only just turning 5 weeks that day. I need some advice on what to expect when i go to my OB tomorrow to see if my HCG levels are rising or falling. I was at 10,000 Sunday. So i hope that things are going better. This was not a planned pregnancy, but i dont want to lose the child.

I am about nine weeks and woke up to blood stained panties. This is my first pregnancy and my third time bleeding. First two times were after sex. I went to the doctor and he was able to do an ultrasound with a new machine. Said baby was fine and baby's heartbeat was great. Did say I have a bloodclot by cervix but has a way to escape so it should be okay. Just need to not stress about it and rest. Hope this may help others.
