If your doctor has found that you are fertile and that what you experience during intercourse is normal then YES, it sounds very positive for getting pregnant in the future.  Sometimes it takes some couples awhile to get pregnant though so try not to be discouraged if it doesnt happen right away, or even within 6 months.

Most doctors now recommend you take folic acid 3 months before trying to conceive (and then continue w/ this while pregnant in the form of a prenatal vitamin).  Folic acid is important for the babys neural tube develop (prevents things such as spina bifida) so its a good idea to make sure you arent deficient in this when ttc.

it sounds like what you are describing with yourself and your doctor are both normal.  When your husband ejaculates, the viable sperm get absorbed into your cervical mucus which keeps it secure from the acidity of your vagina and helps it move upwards.  The matter that was around the sperm from your husband comes back out of your vagina.  Folic acid is always precribed to anyone looking to get pregnant.  It is very important to the development of your baby.  It sounds like everything is fine with you.  Just keep trying!
