hi, i was on the other pregnancy forum and they are talking about fsh and getting it tested. I havent got an answer and I will be going to the drs and wondered if i should ask to be tested for this. can someone explain it clearly, i dont get it when i am on the internet searching for answers. ???
I also believe they check levels on between days 19-21 or 22 (doubleDouble-tussin dm check with your doc) and normally check FSH, LHLh blood test Lh urine test (home test) and progesterone -- possibly even some thyroid (TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh, etc.). The levels at this point in your cycle indicate if your body is doing what it is supposed to -- ovulating and that progesterone levels are rising appropriately.
Someone else will probably give you some really good info...just wanted to give you some other terms to start googling...
yeah i got that all from the internet, thank you. i was wondering what the levels should be. the people talking were saying a high number was bad??? I just wasnt understanding. :)
they dont check the levels on days 19-21..they have to check the levels on day 3. Mine was elevated at a 13..may be why I've had to m/c...I'm now 17 weeks along!
Hi...yes, if you are just checking FSH it is done on day 3 of your cycle.
But progesterone is on day 21 (of a 28 day cycle -- or 7 days before your AF). When my doc checked my progesterone on day 21, she also checked FSH, LH and thyroid.
Sorry if I was confusing...thought maybe you were looking to see if you ovulated.
