Failed the Genistational Diabetes Test

Hello Ladies, I had to take the 1 hour Genistational Diabetes test the Dr office just called me and said I failed it and needed to come back and take a 3 hour test.  I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this also I am measuring almost 3 weeks larger than what I am. Anyone who has experience with this and info would be helpful Thanks

I also failed my 1hr test and had to take the 3 hr test. It sucked, but I passed. I don't know if I was ever measuring ahead or behind, my dr didn't so that. She always measured me and said weather the baby was growing normally. My DS was almost a week late and weighed 7lbs 10oz. I wouldn't worry about it unless you fail the 3 hr test. Good Luck!

i am in your same shoes. i failed the one hour and go for the 3 hour on wednesday. i already have preeclampsia so they are more worried about it than the diabetes testing.

i was told no food after midnight , no water or anything, then i go in drink the goop and get 4 blood draws done. if i fail that one i will have a blood monitor to check my blood 4-6 times a day and will take a medicine orally (glyburide).

my babies are measuring big too. weeks ahead, varying from 2-3 is what i ahve been told.

With my DD I failed the 1 hour and had to take the 3 hour-  it is kinda hard, you can't eat anything and I felt really woozy by the end...  but it isn't the worst thing in the world!  Good luck, I passed the 3 hour, but my best friend had gestational diabetes, and I know with both of her kids they were really big...  so hopefully you measuring big isn't a sign, but it might be...  good luck!!!  Take something to read!!

i also failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. i was expecting the 3 hr to be pretty bad since everyone says it is, but i actually didn't find it to be too horrible. i only got slightly nauseaus for a little bit after drinking the stuff. the place i had it done had a tv, and no one else was really there at the time, so i just watched tv.
