Falling Progesterone and Pregnancy

by pmo, Mar 12, 2005 12:00AM
I am concerned that I am at risk for a miscarriage and wonder if I should start progesterone suppositories. I am 5 weeks pregnant and my labs are as follows:  14 dpo HCG 105 and progesterone 29.5, 16 dpo Hcg 222 and progesterone 28.0, 18 dpo hcg 528 and progesterone 22.  On day 16 DPO some of my symptoms appeared to have lessened, although breast tenderness increased yesterday.  I am concerned with the falling progesterone and my OB says no to supplements until I fall below 14.  Am I at risk for miscarriage at this point and should I insist on supplements?  Also, should I be asking for additional tests?

for the stage you are at the normal range is 9-20, so you're actually doing pretty good. :o)

I wish you well with this.  It does seem that you are within range at this early time of pregnancy.  As you wait this out, go to this web-site for encouragement.  Take care.
