Feeling for the heartbeat

I am 7 weeks pregnant today and Im scheduled to have my first doc visit on the 14, I was wondering can I feel for my baby's heartbeat on my neck myself or is it to early? Im asking this question because yesterday a friend of mine told me she felt the heartbeat but I couldnt(She has two of her own) so I was just wondering!! Thanks for the help!!

I dont think thats possible she must of felt her own not the babys

That is just not possible, your baby's blood supply is completely separate from your own.

it is not possible.  I think after week 20 or something you can hear the heartbeat through your belly, but at this point they cant even hear it with a doppler.  7 weeks is generally the first time you can even see the hb with a vaginal u/s.  good luck today and let us know what happens!

Through your neck? Why would you be able to feel it on your own neck? Do you know what size your baby is right now? Even the best of dopplers can't hear the heartbeat through your stomach until roughly 9 or 10 weeks. Their heartbeats are very fast. A lot faster than ours.
