Fetal Heart Rate 97 at 6w1d is this cause for concern?

Fetal Heart Rate 97 at 6w1d is this cause for concern?

I just had a u/s I am 6w1d post LMP.  The fetal HR was only 97.  The doctor acted a little concerned but told me it was probably due to the early fetal age.  He said yolk sak looked perfect and baby measured right on for age.  From the research I have done, it sounds as though the HR should be over 120 at this stage. Following are my HCG levels from the previous weeks.

HCG at 28days LMP = 71
30days LMP = 250
33days LMP = 850
35days LMP = 2492

My questions:

What is normal fetal HR at 6wks(LMP) gestation?
If this number is low, what could the causes be?
What is the liklihood that this pg will end in misscarriage?

Stacey, I think that you HcG levels are great for this pregnancy.  Is the Heart Rate 97 a constant or is this a one time recording?  I wouldn't start worrying yet...which is easier said then done.  I wouldn't stress out about this reading because you will have more ultrasounds and more readings of the fetal heart rate.  Have you had any bleeding or concerns for a miscarriage?  Have you ever had a miscarriage?   Well...I hope this little help makes you feel a little bit better about you baby.

Stacey,  Your situation sounds very close to mine.  I just had an u/s and I'm 6 weeks along.  My fetal heart rate was between 95 and 100.  My doctor commented that it was low and should be 120 regardless of the fetal age.  The research I have done states that the fetal heart rate should be close to the mother's 80 - 85 at the start of the 5th week and then increase 3.3 beats per minute per day until it reaches 175 beats at 9.2 LMP weeks.  If this holds true, we are both on track.  I have another u/s scheduled for next week to see if there are any changes.  Since I have already had one miscarriage(not due to heart rate, I'm a little nervous.  I would love to know how your pregnancy is progressing and what I should be aware of, if anything.
