Fetal Movement

Fetal Movement

I am 22.5 weeks preg today, first time pregnant, and have not feel fetal movement yet.  U/S confirmed an active baby at 20.5 weeks from the screen, but I feel nothing.  Is it normal for not feeling fetal movement at 22.5 weeks for firt time pregnant?

Yes, that's normal.  I didn't feel my DS until 22 weeks.

You'l probably be feeling your baby any time now, but for me it was only once or twice per day at this point.  It will become much more frequent around 26 weeks.

Many times, with first pregnancies, the mother will not feel fetal movement until the 23rd or 24th week. You have probably felt your baby move already but are not aware that you are actually feeling the baby that is why with following pregnancies you will feel the baby move much sooner because ypu know what to feel for.

With my first pregnancy, I did not feel my child move until the 22 or 23rd week but with this pregnancy I began feeling fetal movement at week 18.
You will feel him/her move soon enough!!!!!!

Yeah, at 23 weeks the baby still has room to move freely without bumping you every time. This is my third and have been feeling movements since 14 weeks, starting with flutters gradually picking up to obviouse kicks and hic ups, but dh has yet to feel anything. My two year old is sitting on my lab and the baby is kicking her, so I know it will be soon!

I didn't feel anything until 22 weeks, and even then it felt like a muscle spasm and I didn't even really realize that it was the baby.  Give it a little more time, it will be very soft in the beginning and might be hard to notice, but it will happen.  :)
