Dear all:
I was wondering if it's true that baby boys are more active in the uterus than baby girls. This is my second baby (23 Wks) and it is a boy, but he moves constantly and seems restlessRestless leg syndrome sometimes. When I was pregnant with my daughter(4 yrs ago) she did not move this much, in fact, sometimes I had to poke my belly so she will move. Should I be concern that this baby moves a lot? you know we all get paranoic and now I am thinking there is something wrong with him. Thank you for any feedback.
Both my kids were very active inutero, my dd and and my ds. I do find my son is more active now than his sister was, he seems to get into a lot more stuff than she did. But he sure is sweet.
I wouldn't worry too much. Some babies are stubborn and will hardly move. I am pregnant with a girl and she moves constantly. I have to rub my belly to calm her down at times.
I'm 23w6d and having a boy too!! He moves so much I wonder what the heck he is doing in there. He kicks down low, feels like he rolls and kicks up high. I think you fine.
Thank you girls for all the feedback. Kris:
I know!! mine also moves down low and I feel exactly the same. I am concern too because the sonograms I've had (3) the technitian told me every single time that she never saw a baby move that much.
I'm 23w3days, and my boy is moving all the time! So much! While I love it, I always worry it's too much and he'll get caught on something. But, there's nothing we can do, right? I think I'd rather feel him in there, though. Your tech should never have said that to you about never seeing any baby move that much. That's a nice way to induce anxiety, don't you think? My tech the last time had to chase him down to try and measure his heartbeatHeart palpitations Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat. She says that some are active and some are not so active, and it is no indication of health, until we are much farther along, when we should be feeling him on a consistent basis. How exciting that we are on the same track!
