Fetus 2 weeks behind in size and SLOW HEART RATE

I am 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I went in for my first prenatal yestreday. Because I have atipped uterus, the Dr. could not tell if I am as far along as I thought so she decided to do an ultrasound. The technician said that I was only at 6 weeks 2 days and the heart rate is only 96 bpm, which was fine for that age. I explained that it is impossible for me to be at 6 weeks, 2 days, and she just told me I needed to discuss that with the Dr. The Dr. came in saying everything was normal, just a little earlier along than I thought, and I told her that could not be because I had a positive pregnancy test before I would have had to have conceived to be where they are saying I am. She then looked very discouraged, and said that my baby was underdeveloped and had a slow heart rate then. She told me not to give up hope yet and to come in for another ultrasound next week to see if the heart had stopped. Everything I have read online has led me to believe there is no hope at all for my child. I am devastated. can anyone offer me any hope at all? My Sister's third baby was so small, they could not find him in her womb during her first ultrasound, and her first baby was grossly underweight, but ended up being almost 10 lbs at birth! Please offer me any hope you can. Thank you in advance!

I dont know much about pregancies though i am learning from all the post i have read. But i wish you the best of luck and will def., keep you in my prayers. Have faith, i'm sure evrything will be okay!

Is it possible that I ovulated later than usual and am only at 7 weeks so it is only 1 week behind in size? That wouldn't be as critical right? I know I am grasping, but I want my little peanut to be ok.

My prayers are with you. I am going through the same thing. I was supposed to have a u/s tomorrow but they moved it until the 29th! Bummer. Rememer, every baby is different and only time can tell. I bet everything is fine!!! Sticky baby dust to you!!

I will say that the exact same thing happened to me and turned out ok. I was 7 weeks and started bleeding so went in for a sono. The barely saw a heartbeat and said I was like 5.5 weeks along and the heartrate was 90. I also said that was not possible cause I got the pos preg test too early and got a pos before I would have conceived too. They changed my due date to a week and a half later.

I delivered a healthy baby girl right on my original due date and they said she definitely was not early. I think every baby developes differently so there is still hope for you.
