Fibroid

Fibroid

This is my first post here. I had a natural m/c on May 9th at 10weeks. I had a U/s at 8w which revealed that there is no H/B. My Doc said I was going to m/c in few weeks. In the U/S they found a uterus fibroid about 9x7x5 size. I din't have any problems from it before as my periods were normal and regular. My doc said to wait 3 months before TTC. GYN said to leave the fibroid for now and wait if I m/c again to think about it. I'm really scared now. Did any one have a fibroid and still had a normal pregnancy? Is the fibroid going to affect the pregnancy ? My fibroid is not inside the uterus.

Depending where the fibroid is, is whether it will effect pregnancy. You do have a quite large one though. Fibroids are estrogen dominant so it maybe possible that you have a hormone imbalance which may also be the cause of mc.  Some women though have gone to full tem with fibroids and they can grow to the size of a football. I have a small one that just grew 2cm in the last month, but I also have a thyroid condition so maybe you should get that checked as I have read there is some relation. Trying to reduce it is good thing.  I am not sure how myself but I am quite sure the knife is the last resort.  Anyway lots of luck and I hope I was of some help. They are benign tumours normally but should be tested to cancer cells everyyear.  Good luck!
