Finally going to dermatologist

Finally going to dermatologist

Well ladies after much suffering and scratching, my OB finally recommended a dermatologist!

You ladies may remember me asking about itchy stretch marks about a week back. Well I did some research on the web and from what I found out it is called PUPPPS RASH. Only about 1% of pg women get it, usually their first pg, and usually with a boy. I fall under all 3 categories. Well, the rash has spread to my arms, legs, and now going to my hips. I have tried body oil, benadryl cream, benadryl pills, shea butter with vit E, oatmeal baths....NOTHING IS WORKING!!! It is a maddening itch that does not stop. Even though it is only about 30* here in Ohio, I have been walking around the house in little more than panties and a sports bra because if anything touches any part of the rash I can't stop digging at it!!!

Hopefully tomorrow I will find some relief from the dermatologist. From what I have heard, the only real "cure" for it is delivering....well, that isn't going to happen at 32w!!!

I am happy for you, I had those rashes when I was pregnant with my son. I never went to the doctor but I know how painful it is. Good Luck!
