Well, the only one that will decide is baby. With my ds he was spread eagle we saw everything! With dd she was very shyMultiple system atrophy we had about 3 u/s & nothing.Until the day I deliverd.I went on a PINK shopping frensy.Sent back all the blue.Hope he/she lets herself!Good luck keep us posted...nanis
Thank you so much for the advice!! I will definatly try the juice advice. I have heard of people coming out of their u/s crying because they couldn't find out the gender. I hope that's not me!! I will let you all know.
I was also worried they wouldn't be able to tell on the ultrasound, but we found out the very second the tech turned on the machine! Definitely a girl. I'd say your chances are very good of finding out, let us know!
The "big" ultrasound (I am assuming that's the one you are getting!) is such a long ultrasound anyway, and if you tell them you want to know the sex, they will try and try until they can get it.
My sono. 2 months ago was the same way....her legs were crossed and the heels were blocking us from finding out. So, they just kept trying to make her move and they would go back to looking. Eventually, they got a long enough chance to look and see and it was a girl!
Just let them know from the start that you want to find out.
the day of mine-the nurse told me she is 70% sure its a boy so we are not quite sure yet-it drives me nuts because i want to add boy stuff to my registry-u gusy think i should go by that percentage???
Drink the juice!!!!!!!! I couldn't find out because baby wouldn't cooperate. I was in there for almost an hour and the tech couldn't get baby to move at all. He was trying to get a look the whole time. I have to go back though because baby was in such a bad position, he couldn't get some pictures that he needed to. And I will definately be drinking juice. I've even thought of Mountain Dew!
With my DD they knew right away but with my DS he was stubborn his legs were crossed tight and he wasnt budging. 4 weeks later we had another one done and good thing they looked there first because after they said boy and then went and looked at other things when they went back he had his legs closed. And it is so funny because now he has learned that he has "STUFF" and whenever his diaper is of he likes to play. Well like father like son..LOL.. But yeah do drink someting like a pop or juice. They had me drink Tang when i was getting a stress test done, that had him dancing.
My little ones always are never too happy to have their pic. taken but when it came time for the fun part..both DD and now DS let it all show!
I guess it is the close up face shot they don't like, hands are always covering it up..lol :)
I tired the juice thing cause everyone I talked to swore by it but it never worked for me!
Good luck..but remember but really is important is that they see a healthy baby...finding out what it is, is just a wonderful bonus!
my baby legs were crossed nice and tight so we couldn't tell at first but b/c the tech saw the placenta was so close to the cervix i had to go empty my bladder and have a transvaginal one done and the baby still had it's legs closed but since she was sitting right over the cervix we were able to see everything and found out it was a girl. we almost didn't find out so i am glad she did a transvaginal to check the placenta
Last month I was having a boy and this month it was a girl, I have a scan scheduled for 2day so hold thumbs that we get to fing out (lets hope it's not twins LOL)
Ive noticed everyone that says there having boys, usually their legs are wide open....its a man thing..lol. The night before my u/s I had a dream that hubby and I went and they did the u/s but he was so stubborn and wouldnt turn right. And I was so upset. Well the next morning when we went for the u/s to my suprise he was actually moving alot and we could see everything. Be sure to eat and drink something before going.
