First HCG test Slighty low...

Hello, Yesterday I got my Beta HCG done it came back positive! Teh HCG level is 53 and I am suposed to be 4 weeks pregnant now. Anyone with the same experience?

I am right there with you.  At 4 weeks my first HCG was 38.5.  When the nurse called and told me this I started crying, but she told me to calm down.  It isn't the number that they are looking at exactly.  They are looking to see that your numbers double or triple every other day.  That was Wednesday, so I was 4 w 4 d.  On friday I went back and my numbers trippled to 121.  I am now in my 6th week and my HCG level on Monday was 7,108 and they saw a yolk sac on my ultrasound.  Do they have you comming back for a another blood test to make sure the numbers are doubling? Try to stay calm (I know it is hard), but the doctors can't tell much from one blood test they need a second and sometimes even a third to compare it with.

Like she said...the number doesnt matter..it just has to double in 48 hours!!!  If you're 4 weeks exactly then this number sounds right on!

Hello and thank you for the replay...I did another one two day later (Yesterday 8/08 and it tripled, it went to 150, so I am relived for now. My Dr. wants to see me for a U/S in a week and half. I believe I will be just over 5 weeks. Is it bad to have a small cup of coffee? What do you know about getting massage during the first trimester? Thank you so much again Shayla and Danielle.
