Fluttering

Every once in a while when i'm laying in bed, or sitting on the coach, i feel this fluttering going on inside my tummy, and then every so often i feel little tiny pops like popcorn in my lower belly.  I'm 20 weeks pregnant, do you think this is the baby letting me know it's there, by kicking and moving around?  I've never been pregnant long enough before to begin to feel a baby move so i don't know what to expect with the kicking and moving around. What is some normal feelings of the baby moving around and kicking?

It probably is the beginnings of baby movement...When it first starts it is very light and sporadic.  Your comparing to popcorn is a good way to describe it.  The most common way to describe early movement is that it feels like gas bubbles...like you know when you have bad gas and you feel the bubbles rumbling and almost popping ...kinda like that.  it is amazing.  it will be a little bit before you actually get something that is a defined KICK but it is all great!!!  Congrats!!!

I would definitely say that is the baby moving. I am 20 weeks now and my little guy is kicking me like crazy! One girl in the "July 09 babies" forum actually said that it feels more like a little octopus moving around, I thought that was a great analogy. You should come join that forum since I am guessing you are due in July, it will be nice for you to talk to other women who are in the same stage of pregnancy.
Congrats on feeling you baby!! Do you know what you are having yet?
