by praying hard, Jan 02, 2007 12:00AM
Hi ladies!  I am about to start Follistim injections for the first time.  Anyone out there who has taken these injections, PLEASE share your story!!  How painful are the injections?  Did you get pregnant taking Follistim?  Multiple births??  Any info/advice is great appreciated!  Thanks!

I used follistim during my first IVF cycle (combined with bravelle) and had twins. These injections were really no big deal. You use a insulin needle (31 gauge) which is just a little *****. The only thing you don't want to do is pull back when you feel it (automatic reaction, I know) because than you'll have to do it again and these needles bend real easy because their so thin. But if you can get your DH to do it, it'll be no big deal at all. I did fingersticks when I had GD and they hurt way more!
I found that around my bellybutton was easiest (arms hurt more and I didn't try the legs. Good luck to you!
