JUst giving an update to the room.  Karen had her blood redrawn on Wednesday and her "quant" count jumped from 12,000 to 37,500 so we are very relieved.

I personally want to thank you for all the answers and the "genuine" concern you shared with an expectant father.  Thank you all so much!

Keep you posted.

Lots of Love and May God bless your personal situation.  I know I counted on Him this week.  Whether it was Him or Not, made me feel better.

Congratulations!  Yes!  God heard your prayers and He is right by your side.  He holds your little on in the palm of His hand!  I wish your wife a wonderful pregnancy.  It is truly a wonderful time.  I had my first daughter 11 yrs. ago and at that time, doctors didn't do the early tests and other tests they now do.  With my second who is now 2 1/2, I had a conservative midwife, so I didn't get much tests.  With my last pregnancy over 1 yr. ago, I had a doctor who did ultrasounds all the time.  He is a supposed top doctor at Cedar Sinai.  Needless to say, I lost that baby due to a supposed blighted ovum and a D&C.  He was the most unsymathetic and horrible doctor that I had ever dealt with.  On top of that, when I had my D&C, the nurse left the vial right on the counter where I could lay there and look at it, while wondering if the doctor was right or not in his diagnosis.  It was one of the worst times of my life.  An image that I will never forget.  I had so much enjoyed my previous pregnancies.  If I should ever get pregnant again, I would like to do the same.  I am going to find the most conservative doctor that I can find and avoid early ultrasounds.  I have seen so many people tormented by inaccurate ultrasounds.  I have friends who have been pregnant and went through horrible torment thinking their babies going to have trisonomy, calcium spots on the heart, hydrocephalus, etc..  Only to find that they delivered healthy babies.  Their pregnancies were such a tormenting time.  My one friend was told that her baby definetely had hydrocephalus and was rushed after delivery for testing.  He has is very healthy and very intelligent with a very smart brain!  It is such a hard issue.  On one hand, if there is something wrong, there is a possibility that something can be done to help the baby.  I guess all we can do is research and pray for the right decisions with our dear little ones.  I wish you all the best!  Happy Baby!
