Food Allergy and Pregnancy, will it hurt the baby?

So, several months ago I was diagnosed with an allergy to dairy products.  This is differnt than lactose intolerance.  My allergy causes me to have digestive discomfort.  I've been SOOOOO good the last few months and haven't touched any dairy and haven't felt the cramping and discomfort I used to.  Well, enough is enough.  I just have to indulge once in a while in pizza, cheesecake and enchiladas.  I don't care if I have some cramps.  But, I am pregnant and don't want to hurt the little one.  Could this potentially hurt the little one in any way?  I will post this on the allergy forum too, since it's kind of an unusual question.

I can't wait for the answer to this because I've been stressing out about it too ... I have fresh produce allergies but obviously need to increase my produce intake for the baby. How far along are you now?

I have heard to steer clear of any foods that you have an  allergy to.  i believe the reactions you got pre pregnancy can be alot worse in pregnancy and could pass on the same allergy to new/unborn?? just check it out tho....for the sake of a few more months maybe try and have another splurge on something less effective to you. besides I dont think you really want to make yourself uncomfortable in pregnancy deliberately???

I think my food allergies have gotten worse. I did not have hives for 5-7 years... then I was 29 weeks pregnant and go hives everywhere except my face.... I def want to do research after the baby b/c hives and pregnancy are TOUGH! My dr said the food allergies will not hurt the baby BUT parents with allergies can oftentimes have children with allergies so get the child tested BEFORE introducing solid foods....
