Frequent Fevers

Frequent Fevers

My cousin has a set of triplets, all girls.  They will be 2 years old.  For the past 6 months one of the girls experiences very high fevers every 4 weeks.  Her fever gets above 101 degrees, refuses to eat and drink and is extremly weak.  It appears on occasions that she has seizure like symptoms of not responding and eyes rolling in her head.  They have taken her to Children's Medical center and they have run test saying that she just has a virus.  All her blood test come back normal.  The other two girls are healthy therefore it is frustrating because if it was contagious then the other two would get it.  The problem in question is what could be causing these symptoms to be occuring in such a pattern?  Any suggestions of testing that could be recommeded to do.  They hospital seems like they really don't care and we are all beginning to really worry!  I appreciate any advice or recommendations!

My youngest has done the same thing since birth and he is almost 2 years old as well. No known reason behind the fevers and I have even brought it up to his cardiologist as I was concerned it could be related.

I have been assured by not only my son's pedi, but also his cardiologist that this is "normal" for him. He will run a fever of 102 degrees for a few days with no other s/s of infection and then return to 98 degrees.

If the doctor is not concerned and it resolves on cue, I wouldn't be worried either.
