Usually, you are advised not to have intercourse until 6 weeks after a C/Section.

Hello.. They tell you not to have sex 6-8 weeks after a c-section.My soon to be & I had sex right after we got out of the hospital( in the shower of course) and I had no problems at all.. If you do decide to do it just make sure you are in no pain and that he goes easy on you.. That is if you feel like it.. If not then just tell him its Dr's orders!!!! Good Luck

Please do not press your wife to have intercourse for 6 weeks at least.  That does not mean she is unable to give you other forms of sexual gratification, but you should let her be the one who says what that is.  It is exhausting to have a c-section and then immediately start taking care of an infant, and she might be disinterested as well as being sore.
