Glucose test

So im 5 wks pregnant i had my first dr. appt. he sent me out to get lab work. and i had to take a glucose test (this early?). this is my 2nd pregnancy with my first child i did not have have my glucose test until i was about 24 wks. Im just concerned. i called the dr. office when they were going to do it and asked if that was normal and they said yes. My friend is about 12 weeks and she said she did not have it done. Im scared!

Maybe your doctor goes by a different protocol?? I had mine later on in pregnancy. I wouldn't worry about it.
