Groin pain 8 months after csection

Groin pain 8 months after csection

I had a csection and had a 11 lb 10 oz beautiful boy, however I was reinstated in the hospital a few days later after I was sent home.  I was anemic and had burning sensations near my csection and could not move without SEVERE pain.

8 months later I still have groin pain particularly on my right side to the point I double over.  It is most severe when I walk I went to my OBGyn and got a shot of steriods and numbing medication, but it still hurts.  How long should I wait to get a 2nd opinion and should I go to a specialist if so what type of specialist?  Should I do anything on my own to lessen the pain if so what?

I think  I would just choose another OB.  Ask around with your friends for another really good one,  and make an appointment.

This isn't normal.  There's something wrong and just trying to mask the pain isn't going to help.

It could be anything,  including that something was left inside you when they sutured you up.  Have you had an ultrasound to try to see what the problem is?

Best wishes.
