HAS ANYONE PASSED SUCH A THING?????????

HELLO EVERYONE,,,,,,,,,IM NEW TO THE BOARDS AND HAVE BEEN READING ALOT,,,,,,,,,I MYSELF HAVE JUST BEEN THROUGH A MISCARRIAGE,..... I GOT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS MY FIRST A/F SINCE THE MISCARRIAGE...LAST THURS,,,,IT STARTED OUT WITH BROWN BLEEDING  FOR A FEW DAYS WHICH THEN THIS MORNING WAS HEAVY RED BLEEDING.....THEN I WENT TO BATHROOM AND PASSED THIS GREY SKIN LIKE TISSUE THING,,,NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT,,,I WAS WONDERING IF ITS POSSIBLE THAT I JUST PASSED THE BABY NOW, EVEN THOUGH I MISCARRIED IN AUG??? I HAD HEAVY BLEEDING THIS MORNING THEN AFTER ITS NOW BRIGHT RED  , THE GREY SKIN LIKE THING AS I CALLED IT,IT WAS THE SIZE OF HALF OF MY THUMB.....
IM GOING TO  PHONE MY DOCTOR TOMORROW BUT WAS WONDERING IF ITS HAPPENED TO ANYONE?  IT WAS SO SAD TO SEE SUCH A THING IF IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THE BABY>>>IM SURE THAT 'S WHAT IT WAS  BUT WANT TO KNOW WHY WOULD IT COME OUT NOW, AND NOT THE NIGHT  OF THE  BLOOD CLOTTING AND CRAMPING?(MISCARRIAGE) IT'S ALL CONFUSING TO ME.....
I WAS HOPING THAT THIS WAS MY FIRST PERIOD AND THAT I COULD START TRYING NEXT MONTH OR SO?? PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN ANSWER OR HELP ME IN ANY WAY I WOULD APPRECIATE IT DEEPLY...THANKS

Hi there! I am very sorry for your loss.  I don't mean to sound gross or anything, but did you save the tissue? they sound like they could be the products of conception and you may want to take them to your doctor??? I hope I don't sound insensitive.  But it could take your body a month to pass the baby.  I am thinking about you = i KNOW what you are going through =( Anyhow, good luck and DEFINITELy call your doctor!

So sorry to hear you're going through this.  But unless your miscarriage was "complete" in August, then it's entirely possible that you did pass fetal tissue this time.  With miscarriages, that's why doctors want to do a D&C - to make sure that all the tissue has been passed.  I was told by my doctor that there was too much of a risk just to wait and see if I passed all the tissue on my own.  I had all the signs and symptoms of the miscarriage too - no heartbeat at 13 weeks, fetus not growing and then bleeding, cramps (contractions) fist size clots and so on.  There was some small bits of gray tissue, which I saved for the doctor, but he said that that wasn't enough to have passed all of it.  So he did the D&C the next day and extracted what was left.  Yes, it was difficult, mentally, to go through, but necessary.  I should also mention that some women do not have to have a D&C with a miscarriage.  It's really up to the doctor.

thankyou so very much,,,,,,as far as i was told or new, was that the baby had already passed, when i was bleeding so much the one evening,,,,
i was at the doctors and had a vaginal ultrasound, and they sent me on my marry way and said it wasn't necessary for me to have the d@c done.  They did not tell me that i may still have the starting of the baby still in me......they did mention  this kind of tissue of any sort...or maybe i misunderstood......thank you for your support and understanding...I just got a little scared when seeing such a thing......I will let you know when i hear back from the doctor,,,but like everyone is saying it seems that this is normal....i did save it and was wondering if anyone would do such a thing......???

Hello I too had a miscarriage about a month ago, I bled really heavy for a day or two and then passed a couple of things of tissue, it wasn't very big, but it was grey and stringy, I kept it until I called my dr. and she told me it wasn't necessary to keep it. I passed it at night and kept it in the fridge until morning. I had a natural m/c and bled for about 6 days, we ahve been ttc since, so don't give up. It will happen. HELLO LADIES,,,,,,,,SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN ON FOR AWHILE, BUT I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW WHATS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE LAST TIME...I FINALLY TALKED TO MY DOCTOR LAST TUES AND HE SENT ME RIGHT TO THE HOSPITAL, SO I WENT AND I WAS BLEEDING LIKE YYOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE,,,,,I TALKED TO THE DOCTOR AND SHE SAID IM FINE AND SHE LOOKED AT ALL MY BLOODWORK AND EXPLAINED THAT I WAS STILL HAVING THE MISCARRIAGE... I TOLD HER ABOUT THE TISSUE AND SHE SAID THAT IT WAS NORMAL AND LIKE SOMEONE SAID, WHICH IS WHY THEY LIKE TO DO THE ***@**** HORMONE LEVELS WERE DOWN TO "17" WHICH SHE SAID WAS GOOD, AND THE BLEEDING WAS OKAY AND T HAT PROBABLY FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS IT WILL SIMMER DOWN...SHE DID HOWEVER SAY THAT I SHOULD COME THE NEXT DAY FOR ANOTHER ULTRASOUND, WHICH I CHOSE NOT TO KNOWING I MAY BE ABLE TO DO THIS ON MY OWN,,,MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED THAT WE WILL TAKE THE CHANCE AND IM GLAD WE DID,,,I FEEL FINE.....
SURE ENOUGH IM NOW DOWN TO ALMOST NOTHING,,,,I HAVE TO WEAR A MINIPAD BUT THAT IS ALL....I WAS SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT I WAS GOIGN TO BE OKAY,,,,,I REALLY DIDN'T WANT A ***@**** FIGURED I COULD DO THIS ON MY OWN,,,,AND I DID......NOW WHAT DO YOU DO?? First, can I make one simple request? Can you avoid all capital letters? It makes it hard to read and i will admit I have not read many posts that are all in capital letters for that reason. That being said, I got pg after only 1 cycle post miscarriage. My m/c completed 7/2, AF came 8/13, and i got a positive HPT on 9/10. So far so good. There have been a few women on here who got pg before they ever even got AF after their m/c.

Talk to your doctor to make sure there isn't a medical reason to prevent you from trying again too soon. And definitely make sure you are emotionally ready. By that I mean, would you be able to handle another loss so soon? Not that it will happen, but it can and you need to make sure that is something you will be able to handle. Also, are you trying to get pg to replace the one you just lost? That isn't always the best reason to get pg so soon. Take time to make sure you have accepted the loss and are able to make a good decision.

I really hope all works out for you, I know how hard it is to lose a baby. Time will help to heal that hurt, but you have to let it : )
