HCG Levels - Worried

by cb1234, Dec 18, 2006 12:00AM
I did my 1st blood test last week on Monday (5.5 Weeks after period).  My Level came back 10,500.  I took the test again on Wednesday and it came back 15,200.  I am very worried.  I miscarried at 6.5 weeks in May and cannot seem to think postive this time around.  Still have had the nausea symptoms but it comes and goes. Has anyone heard of levels not doubling in 48 hours being somewhat normal.  Truth works best for me.

YES.... sometimes they do not double in 48 hours....it's more like 48-72 hours...so don't freak out yet..... I totally understand what  you are talking about... I have been preggers twice and both times my levels were very low(and I mean LOW) and not doubling.....goood luck to you!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. Some women's HCG levels double every 96 hours. Thats how mine was with my son. I am 27w5d, so it just depends on how your body and baby are. Good Luck!!!!!!

mine doubled in 2 days until they hit 25,000. after that point it took about 6 days to double so i'd say you dont have any reason to start worrying. good luck-

Just got back from the Doctor today.  133 Beats per minute.  Very good news.  We will take it week by week.  Progesterone was 42 lst week so the Dr said that was the important part more so the doubling effect.

Once they are over 6000 it may take up to 96 hours to double.  Don't worry I'm sure things will be okay.
