HCG Levels after M/C

HCG Levels after M/C

New to forum and the posts have been very helpful in my experience. I  m/c on 1/21 and the bleeding stopped 1/26.  My HCG levels were checked on 1/22 and at 2500 and then checked again on 1/25 and they were down to 400.  I found out today that they are at 3.2.  BD on 2/2 so is it possible that I could be pg again already or is it normal for them not to go to 0?  I have not had any bleeding or spotting since it stopped so I thought my HCG levels would have been 0.

I went through this exact thing and my levels dropped just about how yours did. I believe once you levels are below 5 you can get pg. Mine went from 3600 to 500 to 36 to 5.5 and they wanted me back to make sure they got below that. Once my levels hit zero I started AF which was exactly 3 weeks after miscarriage.
I see so many people on here that miscarry and then get pg 2 weeks afterwards though.

I'm sorry for your loss.  It took about two weeks for my levels to get to 0, but they did reach the 0 mark.  I think I ovlulated about one week after that, and am currently pregnant-again.

It's possible, but I would think that you need to have ovulated which may not have happened yet if your levels are 3.5 as of today. Believe me I have inquired extensively about this. The majority of the people who get pg 2 or 3 wks after their m/c had their levels go to 0 pretty quickly like within a day or so after they m/c. Not to say you can't ovulate with 3.5 but as of 2/2 it was likely higher than that. Best of luck.

my hcg levels did not decrease 3 months after my dnc.  i have been monitoring my hcg levels weekly and i got stuck at 40 then to 48 then to 33.  After being there for 2 weeks, my dr started my on Methotraxe which is an agent of chemotherapy, only without the radiation.  I'm currently on my fifth treatment and still at 9.8.  Let me know what questions you have.
