HCG and Progesterone levels

by Zacksmom, Feb 20, 2005 12:00AM
On(appox) 16 dpo my hCG level was 338, 2 days later the level had risen to 779.  My progesterone level was 30.4.  I am scheduled for an ultrasound on Feb. 28.  On my intial visit I reported a light brown spotting.  The doctor felt it was implantation bleeding but wants to rule out ectopic.  Do my numbers point toward a "normal" pregnancy?  Thanks

With my ectopic my numbers started VERY low.  My progesterone started at 9.6 or something and they put me on prometrium.  My HCG did double every 48 hours as well..but I did spot off and on throughout and they had a very hard time diagnosing ectopic for me.  My progesterone never got above 20..I've heard that very low progesterone is a first red flag for ectopic and yours is much higher than that.  Are you having any cramping on either side? Your HCG doubled and that's the good part...now to the hard part - waiting.  I hope things turn out just fine for you! =) Good luck!
