HCG at 65000 5 weeks on Saturday - seems really hight, is it normal?

I was very happy when I heard that my levels were so high and now I am worried that I'm having a molar pregnancy. Anyone had levels that high after 5 weeks?

thanks mc

Is it possible you are closer to 6-7 weeks?

I never had a period since Dece 25 but my HCG was down to 2 on Jan 26 and I was scheduled to have my period on Jan 20th but never had it. I was pretty sure I conceived on Feb 4th so if you calculate the way the doctors do, so Jan 20th as the 1st day of my last period, then I should not be more that that...

Wow, that is high. Average range at 5 wks 18-7340
6wks 1080-56500. Any chance farther along? If not, I would rather think is twins than molar. When are they going to do u/s?

Could it be twins?

Actually your LMP would be December 25th, which would make your HCG levels about correct!  If you didn't have a period January 20th, that was your first missed period!  So congrats I am thinking when you have an u/s you'll find that the baby would be due around October 1st!

They won't do an u/s until late next week. The thing is, I am pretty sure that we conceived on Feb 4th. With a little one at home, my sex life is not that crazy...!

I tend to think the wors since I've had cancer 2 years ago. It's hard for me to stay positive. I get scared easily and think...of course it won't work, it's me!

Are you sure Hcg wasn't UP to 2 on Jan 26?

I don't know, at that time were still tracking it down from my D&C. It took a long time for it to come down but who knows, it may have been the beginning. the other thing to is that I had a strong positive Home Preg Test on the 9th in the morning. If I conceived at the 4th could I have a positive test just 4-5 days after conceiving?

No. It takes a minimum of 6 days to implant and then the Hcg starts to rise. 85% implant 8dpo. 6 days is rare, but does happen. 8-9 is most common. If you got bfp that early, you conceived earlier. I bet your Hcg was on the way up and you are farther :) I am so very happy for you, I know the frustration you went through there for a while.

I'm really confused at this comment.  Your last cycle was in Decemeber and your last missed period was in January then how would you conceive in Feb, and why would you check your HCG levels in Jan.

Really confused.  Like the post above I think your due in Oct.

She was having her levels checked due to a D&C.
