HCG level 15 dpo

by ladiece, Feb 01, 2004 12:00AM
Hi everyone!
I had a blood hcg level of 1410 15 dpo. This seems kinda high to me. Is this normal? Please let me know. I've had 2 miscarriages in the past, including one 3 months ago and I'm so nervous.
Thanks! :-)

Hi, I copied this from a post on the Family Practice forum.

Here is a chart with the suggestive rise of HCG to weeks:
Week from LMP Amount of hCG in mIU/ml
3: 5 - 50
4: 4 - 426
5: 19 - 7,340
6: 1,080 - 56,500
7 - 8: 7,650 - 229,000
9 - 12: 25,700 - 288,000
13 - 16: 13,300 - 254,000
17 - 24: 4,060 - 165,400
25 - 40: 3,640 - 117,000

Good Luck!

Sorry can't tell you if that is really too high for 15 dpo.  I've only been pregnant once but had no hcg levels taken.  But that does sound high.  What did your doctor say?  Another possiblity is that you are carrying twins! or more....;o)

I wouldn't worry so much - every lab is different.  At 14 dpo, mine were 425 and 30,000 at 5w5d and the dr. told me that is well w/in range at the lab where mine were taken.  (I'm 35w5d now!).  Try this cite - www.paternityangel.com and they show the wide ranges of hcgs at different labs.  There is little value to one level, what matters is the doubling time.  And you never know, maybe it's twins or you are a few days farther along then you thought!  But even if not, I'm sure you are fine!  Keep us posted and good luck to you!
