HCG levels at 6.5 weeks or 8 weeks

I have posted below about my experiences this weekend. I had blood taken to test my HCG and it was at 83,800. The ultrasound claims I am 6.5 weeks and according to my last MP I should be 8 weeks!!! Does the HCG level seem high??? The radiologist thinks he sees twins, could that have to do with the high HCG level if in fact it is high? PLEASE HELP!!!

I did a search on HCG levels on the internet and found the following.  I hope it helps:

13 - 16 weeks (13,300-254,000 mIU/cc)
17 - 24 weeks (4,060-165,400 mIU/cc)
25 - 40 weeks (3,640-117,000 mIU/cc)

You range seems like it is right on target. :)

just a note on the hcg ranges.
i did a serch for that a while ago and found a site that gave ranges for single and multiple births.....oddly enough all the levels they showed for multiples were within the range of single birth normal.

I too have seemingly high levels.  At 13 dpo my hcg was at 204 then 48 hours later my hcg tripled to 754 at 16dpo.  I did clomid and I'm over 35 so I'm wondering.  Does anyone have any numbers around the same time frame?  This might help us compare.  My progesterone shot up from 21.4 to 45 in 6 days.  I have an ultrasound in about 3 weeks, the wait is killing me.  I've lost 3 before.
