HCG levels not changing

HCG levels not changing

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I went to the dr on Sunday and had my blood taken to test my hcg levels. They were at 41,000. I went back today(Wednesday) and had them tested again and they were still in the 41,000 range. They did an ultrasound and saw a heartbeat but said that the heartbeat was a little slower than normal but not to be too concerned with that alone.  The HCG level was more of a concern than the heartbeat.  Can this be normal or does it strictly indicate that a miscarriage is inevitable?

I believe I read that once the levels are over 6000 it can take 3-4 days to double so don't worry to much

My HCG was right about where yours is at 6 weeks....and now I'm 16 weeks....

Good luck...keep us updated.
