HELP 9 POUNDS 6OZ IS THE PREDICTION

Hi Im 38 wks 3days he has not even dropped =(
My Dr sent me today to the radiology for an ultrasound becuz she thinks my baby is big. This is my first baby its a boy. So the results said he weighed 9pds 6oz + or - a pound. OMG he could be 10 pds. Im soo set on having him vaginal. Do anyone know if its usually + a pound ??? I'm sad now I dont know why but, Im. I really dnt want a c section. What do I do????

Hi i have two daughters one was 8lbs 15ozs and my second daughter was 9lbs 6ozs they were both predicted to be over 10lbs so the measurements can be off by a lot sometimes so take a deep breath there can be problems with big babies like the shoulders getting stuck or low blood sugar but i delivered both my daughters vaginally with no problems during the birth they induced me early at 38 weeks with my 1st daughters because they were worried about her size but after everything went great i got a new doctor and i went to forty weeks with my 2nd daughter before she come on her own they were going to induce me the next week so my doctor wasn't worried even though we knew she would be large so if you want to deliver vaginally there should't be a problem just a conversation with your doctor about what you want to happen and as long as there is no danger to either of you that's what they will do

I agree with Austin...have a talk with your doctor but don't stress too much over the size of your baby either.  They measured my first and predicted she would be between 9 and 9 1/2 lbs.  I was so freaked!  When I was induced a week early and delivered, she was only 6lbs 13oz.  My second was 8lbs. 9oz. and delivered her eaiser than the first.  Best of luck to you!
