HELP!!!! Could I be having a miscarriage?

Hello I am new to the site and find it to be very helpful.
My last period was on October 1 and was to receive another on October 26th. I had very light bleeding on the 23rd and 24th (which is abnornmal for me) but no more bleeding at all. I took a hpt on the 28th and it was positive. Yesterday morning I started bleeding very light with light cramping got worried so I went to the doctor she gave me another test which still read positive but by this time I was bleeding like a regular period still with light cramping. She did an u/s but warned me that she may not see anything since I was only 4w 2d and true enough she saw nothing but my uterus and everything looked fine. She gave me an exam and said that it looks like a normal period an the baby may have passed through already. I took a blood test so that she can keep track of my hormone level. Right now I am having all symptoms of a regular period nothing more nothing less than usual, cramping and bleeding. Can anyone with the same issue or similar help me figure this out. Should I rule this as a miscarriage? and if it is how long should you bleed? This is my third pregnancy and had nothing like this with my first 2.

Sorry, all I can say is wait. Many people bleed while preg & come out fine. But also many women dont even know their preg.M/c & think its Af.In the old days mon. went by without even knowing, they bled & just assumed AF.Like I said just wait & see good luck..nanis

I'm sorry you are going through this. I agree with nanis, the only thing you really can do is wait. I really hope that everything turns out for you. If this is indeed a pregnancy and you are m/c , my guess is that you will bleed like a normal period sinse you were not that far along. But everybody is different. A friend of my moms had her "period" for 3 months when she was pregnant. It's rare, but possible. Take care and hope everything turns out!

when i had my mc i passed lots of tissue and clots. id look out for that. if you dont pass anything then id say maybe it was just bleeding in early pg. i wish the best for you and hope you stay strong until you know.

when i had  miscarriage at 5.5 weeks( natural miscarriage) I had light spotting,at first then i had what I would call a period but with heavy clots....but without cramping..even though i went to the ER....my levels had dropped, i would have your levels checked every 3 days just to see whats going on.... but much luck to you!!!!

A girlfriend of mine just got preg in June. She thought she wasn't preg when she started "af," but it was only two days instead of her normal five. She took a test, which was positive. The tests showed everything was fine (and still is). Pay close attention to see if it is lighter or heavier than usual, lasts longer or shorter than usual, etc. Best wishes. Hopefully you end up just being one of those "lucky women" that has a pd or two after getting pg. Keep us updated!
